Escape the crowds on a half-day 4WD adventure through three Wet Tropics rainforests. Visit scenic Barron Falls, drive off-road to the Clohesy River boardwalk to see ancient strangler figs, then cool off with a swim in Davies Creek.
Escape the crowds and experience the wild heart of North Queensland on the Forest & Waterfalls Half-Day 4WD Adventure. This exclusive small-group tour, led by expert naturalist guides, takes you deep into three Wet Tropics World Heritage Rainforest national parks - places most visitors never see.
You'll roar up the scenic Kuranda Range, passing through the quaint village of Kuranda to reach the iconic Barron Falls at Wrights Lookout. After soaking in those views, you'll turn off-road, driving in a late-model, air-conditioned 4WD along rainforest creeks and rugged tracks. Along the way, you'll encounter ancient king ferns and a remarkable strangler fig tree, accessed via the peaceful Clohesy River boardwalk.
The adventure continues to Davies Creek, a hidden gem with crystal-clear waters - here you'll have the opportunity to swim (conditions permitting), then cool off with some tropical ice cream. Finally, the journey winds back to Cairns via the Kuranda Range's Wet Tropics drive, stopping at the Henry Ross Lookout for one last breathtaking panorama before returning to your hotel.
